summer is beating down on most of us in the northern hemisphere. the last month has felt especially hazy. a couple weeks disappeared altogether. parts of my brain have melted. i'm waiting for them to firm up again, but it might not be until september. i spent my birthday weekend on the beach, with my mother and my girlfriend. since the spring, things have been picking up for me. doing a dance between working on my own art projects, and frequent freelance sound design + mix work. i picked up watercolor painting for a couple days, and now i just stare at the dry brushes as i sink into my couch every evening. i've mostly written my next music project, and so now i'm stewing on all the ways i need to package her up. occasional excitement at a new idea, usually when i'm knee deep in a paid job. so it goes.

something about this EP scratching a 2015 itch in my brain, but still feels like i grabbed a fist full of my tiktok algorithm, dipped it in mdma and threw it at a contact microphone. very fun.
